The R45 barely made an appearance on this side of the Atlantic.  17 were brought into Canada and we are luck to have this 32113 km bike find its way to us.  

Excellent condition, great looking piece with a police tank added.  The pin stripe coloring was chosen by the owner when he saw a silver BMW in Germany with the same coloring added..

This motorcycle is not just a bike - it is a piece of BMW history.  28,158 units were produced worldwide and 0 were imported into the US.  You are unlikely to see another one at your local bike meet. Its lighweight frame, reliable mechanics and classic boxer rumble make it a joy to ride, while its scarcity adds to its collectible value.  Perfect for weekend rides, vintage rallies or as a unique addition to your garage. 

We are very happy to offer up this great find.  When a collector has an extensive collection of pre-war BMWs, it is fascinating to see what post 1970 airheads round out the collection.   The R45 is definitely a rare one and a great choice.  Recommended to the buyer is recommissioning work should be carried out prior to riding.
